If he'd have turned up Saturday I think most people would still be very much behind him as he would be acting professionally. The whole 'heads not in the right space' thing is weak and certainly not what you expect from an already very well paid employee under a contract.

The situation of the gambling debt forced this possible move, not him personally IMO.
People should recall without him last year we would have been relegated.

I read one the more credible websites with a couple of well known itk posters , that unless Arnie does a Payet they are going to keep him and maybe a new contract in summer.
I don't that will go down very well quite a few supporters

Apparently it's virtually impossible to get top quality players in the Jan window for a good price, unless you are buying them from West Ham of course.

Not exactly complex this is it. We value him at 50m which is abiytnright in this market. If another club won’t pay that he stays.
If he wants to act like a didk then let him rot in the reserves. We have a fair announcement of cash as a club now so should not be held to ransom by him.

Agree with that CR. The Chinese club, Arnie and his brother have acted despicably. They have put in a bid below his worth and deliberately unsettled him. Then, without coming in with a better offer, they say they are walking away, leaving a trail of destruction.
This is like a poker game and we can’t afford to blink first.

I was at the stoke game, his first back when we won 3-1 and he scored twice I think. He was really rubbing there faces in it that day and they obviously hated it. Even mark hughes gave him the middle finger I think. Oh how we laughed!!
